THE NAMING AT GOD IS MY LIGHT PARISH
It was a crisp Sunday morning in Aachen as members of the Celestial Church of Christ – God Is My Light Parish gathered for a joyful event—the naming of a new baby. The church glowed with candles, soft hymns, and the familiar scent of incense.
Brother Samuel and Sister Tinuola entered with their newborn wrapped in white, surrounded by smiling family and friends. When the service began, Shepherd Adebayo lifted the child gently and prayed:
“Lord, guide this destiny with Your light.”
The symbolic rites followed—honey for sweetness, salt for value, water for purity, and oil for protection. The congregation hummed quietly as the child slept peacefully.
Then came the moment of joy.

“What shall this child be called?” the Shepherd asked.
The parents responded, “Olúwatomisin – The Lord has done this for me.”
The church erupted in praise and singing.
“Glory be to God in the highest—Amen!”
After blessings were given, the parish celebrated with dancing, warm fellowship, and shared meals. Baby Olúwatomisin remained calm and content, wrapped in love and divine promise.
And in the heart of Aachen, under the banner of blue and white, a new light had entered the world.
